Our area humanitarian leaders asked us to check out a rehab center called Cheshire Ethiopia, for children 5 to 18. They work with those who need various types of limb rehabilitation. Could be from birth defects to losing a leg or arm in an accident, a disease, etc.
They also have a comprehensive eye center that is open to the public at no charge.
Here they are creating eye glass lenses using this machine. This man is deaf. They like to hire people with disabilities.
This girl was being measured for a new prosthetic limb.
This was an uneven, rocky area that they can practice walking with new prosthetics or crutches.
Amazingly enough, this facility manufactures crutches and wheelchairs of all shapes and sizes.
Amazing as it kept expanding to more shops.
And a rehab pool.
Most children actually live here 6-12 months. They perform surgeries at this center as well.
They teach school, crafts and farming skills during their rehab.
Enjoyed another wonderful baptism service for two new members.

We attended the first seminary and institute class for our branch. We shared how we loved attending seminary and institute classes and how graduation was necessary credentials to get a visa permit to come to Ethiopia on this mission. We shared stories about our seminary experiences also.

Yes, this little table contains an incomplete library but it's all they have. As you can see it is difficult to get items to Ethiopia. Thankfully there are so many resources online, but only for those who have a device to access it.
Always enjoy inviting the sisters over for Sunday dinner. That's not curry chicken is it?
