Zone Conference - Youth Conference event - Teaching AJS for missionaries going home

Sister Cowley going over some numbers like Church attendance and how many friends being taught the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Exciting to see so many people coming to Christ in Ethiopia.

Often, when we talk to the missionaries about having a meeting, they always ask if there will be food.

Another beautiful sister missionary, Sister Bandihai about to go home to Tanzania. 

We had the opportunity of helping out with a Youth Conference event. And you guessed it, I made a huge pot of "curry chicken". 

About 30 youth came plus there families so perhaps 70. 

But whenever there's food and plenty of it, people start showing up from everywhere. I'm grateful Sister Cowley planned ahead and organized more food than the original plan of just my curry and rice for 30 people. 

I think they said we had 87 plates, but well over a hundred were served. Finally eating out of the pots and using serving trays as their plates and serving spoon for utensils.

We were asked to teach an AJS (Accelerated Job Search) class with Church scholarships, Perpetual Education Fund and BYU Pathway to three sisters about to go home, now that they have completed their mission. Three amazing sisters, Sister Zvimba, Sister Bandihai and Sister Phiri. We will miss them so much.

As missionaries they had a goal of contacting 13 people per day as a companionship. For accelerated Job Search they are challenged to contact only 10 people per day, including two face-to-face for job opportunities.

Since this was our first time teaching AJS, two leaders joined us from Uganda and Kenya. They mainly focused on the education side of the training and it was amazing. The Church offers so many programs to help members get an education and try to find jobs.
